CUSTOM CURTAINS, BLINDS AND SHUTTERS

The perfect finishing touch for every room. Or as I like the say, the cherry on the top. Choosing window furnishings isn’t just about blocking out the light (though that’s a great perk!). It’s about setting the mood, improving your home’s comfort, framing your view, and bringing a cohesive style to your entire space.

At Chameleon Avenue, we take the guess-work out of the process.

With our full range of samples we bring the showroom directly to your home across Brisbane,

taking precise measurements and helping you select materials that balance beauty and everyday function.

Take a look at some of our recent installations and the design choices behind them.

Soft and Airy

S-fold sheer curtains

The space: A sun-drenched modern living area that needed relief from harsh afternoon glare without sacrificing natural light.

Why We Chose Them: We installed continuous S-fold sheer linen-look curtains hung high and wide near the ceiling line. This instantly draws the eye upward, making the ceiling feel higher and the room more expansive, while diffusing the sunlight into a soft, ambient glow.

Energy smart comfort

Norman Portrait honeycomb blinds

The space: A kitchen with large windows that suffered from extreme temperature fluctuations throughout the day. Neighbours on the boundary also had full visibility into the house.

Why We Chose Them: We selected cellular honeycomb blinds for their clever hexagonal design, which traps air to provide incredible thermal insulation. They keep the room cooler in summer and warmer in winter, all while offering a sleek, minimalist profile and flexible top-down/bottom-up light control and privacy.

Sleek and practical

Dual blockout and light-filtering Norman Soluna roller blinds

The space: A high-rise master bedroom facing the morning sun where light control and privacy were the top priorities.

Why We Chose Them: Clean-lined blockout roller blinds were selected for a streamlined, minimalist look. During the day, they roll completely away; at night, they provide total privacy and darkness for an uninterrupted night’s sleep. The addition of light-filtering roller blinds meant that during the day, glare could be reduced and privacy offered by the light-filtering fabric.

Timeless elegance

Custom Plantation Shutters

The Space: Street-facing windows that required both privacy and sophisticated street appeal.

Why We Chose Them: Plantation shutters offer ultimate light control and airflow regulation with a classic, architectural finish. They add instant value to the home and look just as stunning from the outside as they do from within.

Layered luxury

Motorised sheers paired with blockout curtains

The Space: A luxe guest bedroom that needed privacy from surrounding high-rises, and darkness at night.

Why We Chose Them: By layering lightweight sheer curtains over heavier blockout drapery, the clients got the best of both worlds. The sheers provide daytime privacy and texture, while the blockout drapes add rich warmth, and total darkness when needed.  All at the press of a button!
